Intentional
Every session begins long before a camera is ever picked up. I believe great photographs come from understanding the people in front of the lens, not just the location, lighting, or poses. That’s why I take the time to learn about you, your story, and what matters most to you. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone, documenting a new chapter, or simply wanting to preserve this season of life, every detail is approached with intention. From choosing the right location to creating an atmosphere where you feel comfortable and confident, the goal is to ensure your photos feel authentic, personal, and uniquely yours.
I draw my inspiration from genuine connection, meaningful stories, and the moments that make life worth remembering.
Every person, relationship, and season of life carries a story, and those stories are what inspire me most. It’s often the moments we don’t plan for—the laughter, the quiet glances, and the small interactions; that leave the biggest impact.
That belief shapes the way I approach every session. Rather than focusing on perfection, I focus on creating space for authentic moments to unfold naturally. My goal is to capture photographs that not only look beautiful, but feel personal—images that bring you back to a memory, a feeling, or a chapter of your life every time you see them.
FAQs
What should we wear for our session?
The best outfit is one that feels like you. I always encourage clients to choose clothing that makes them feel comfortable, confident, and authentic rather than focusing on what’s trendy. Neutral tones, soft colors, and coordinating outfits tend to photograph beautifully, but the most important thing is that your clothing reflects your personality and style.
Don’t worry—you won’t have to figure it out alone. Before your session, I’ll provide guidance and recommendations to help you choose outfits that work well with your location, the season, and the overall feel you’re hoping to create. My goal is for you to show up feeling your best so you can focus on enjoying the experience while we create meaningful photographs together.
I’ve never had professional photos taken. Will you help me pose?
Absolutely. In fact, most of the people I photograph tell me the exact same thing before their session.
You don’t need any modeling experience or a list of poses prepared. My approach is less about stiff, overly posed photos and more about creating natural moments that feel genuine to you. Throughout the session, I’ll guide you every step of the way with simple prompts, direction, and encouragement so you never have to wonder what to do with your hands or where to look.
And while I’m there to offer direction, I’m also there to be your biggest hype guy. Whether it’s helping you feel confident in front of the camera, celebrating the little moments, or reminding you just how great you’re doing, my goal is to create an environment where you can relax, have fun, and feel completely comfortable being yourself.
The best photos happen when you’re present in the moment—not when you’re focused on posing perfectly. By the end of the session, most clients leave feeling more confident than when they arrived, and that’s just as important to me as the photos themselves.
What if I’m awkward in front of the camera?
First, as the king of awkward, I can assure you that you’re not as awkward as you think you are.
Almost everyone who reaches out tells me they’re nervous, don’t know how to pose, or feel uncomfortable being photographed. The truth is, you don’t need any experience in front of a camera to have a great session. That’s what I’m here for.
I’ll guide you every step of the way with natural prompts, simple direction, and plenty of encouragement. Think of me as your photographer and your biggest hype guy. I’ll help you feel comfortable, confident, and relaxed while making sure you’re never left wondering what to do next.
My goal isn’t to create perfectly posed photos—it’s to capture genuine moments and real personality. Once the nerves fade and you’re focused on having fun, that’s when the best photographs happen. And if you’re still feeling awkward? Don’t worry. I’ve got enough awkwardness for the both of us. 😄
Can I request specific shots?
Absolutely.
While I always leave room for natural moments to unfold, I want your gallery to reflect what’s most important to you. If there are specific poses, groupings, details, or inspiration photos you’d love to recreate, I’m happy to incorporate them into your session whenever possible.
That said, some of the most meaningful photographs are often the ones we don’t plan for. My approach is to blend your must-have shots with candid, genuine moments that happen naturally throughout the session.
Before your session, we’ll talk through any ideas, inspiration, or special moments you’d like captured so we can make sure nothing important is overlooked. At the end of the day, this experience is about telling your story, and I want to make sure it feels uniquely yours.
Can I bring my partner, family, or pet?
Absolutely.
The people (and pets) you love are often a big part of your story, and I’d love to help capture those connections. Whether it’s your partner, your family, your best friend, or your four-legged sidekick, they’re more than welcome to join the session if it makes sense for the type of photos you’re looking for.
Some of my favorite images come from the interactions between people—the laughter, the inside jokes, the hugs, and the little moments that happen naturally when you’re with those who matter most. And let’s be honest, pets tend to steal the spotlight every now and then, and I’m completely okay with that.
If you’re planning to bring someone along, just let me know during the planning process so we can make sure the location, timing, and flow of the session work for everyone involved.
Do you travel for photoshoots?
Absolutely.
I’m based in Atlanta and regularly photograph sessions throughout Metro Atlanta and the surrounding areas. Whether you’re envisioning a session in the city, a local park, a small-town square, or somewhere that holds special meaning to you, I’m always excited to explore new locations and help bring your vision to life.
If your session is outside of the Atlanta area, I’d still love to hear about it. Travel may require an additional fee depending on the distance and location, but I’m always open to discussing destination sessions and finding the best option for your needs.
At the end of the day, some stories are worth traveling for. If there’s a place that’s meaningful to you, let’s talk about it.
How long does it take to get our photos?
I know how exciting it is to relive your session, so I work hard to deliver your images as quickly as possible while giving each gallery the attention it deserves.
Most portrait and lifestyle sessions are delivered within 2–3 weeks, though turnaround times may vary depending on the season and the type of session. Before your session, I’ll provide an estimated delivery timeline so you’ll know exactly what to expect.
Once your gallery is ready, you’ll receive a beautifully curated collection of professionally edited images delivered through an online gallery where you can view, download, share, and print your photos.
Trust me—I’ll be just as excited for you to see them as you are! 😊
